Most people see a psychiatrist or a therapist. I’m both, so the medication question and the meaning behind it get looked at together, by one person who sees how they connect.

“Why hasn’t therapy helped?”

Why it feels so confusing, and why that is not your fault.
Mental health services are stretched. When more than one thing is going on at once, it is easy to fall between the gaps: not “urgent enough” for one service, not the right fit for another. Feeling unseen does not mean nothing is wrong. It usually means no one has looked at the whole picture yet. That is the work I do.
